Toenails 02:09

about

Sometimes in life, you get entered into a variety show contest at a comedy music convention in Illinois. Before you can scratch your name off the list of competing acts, the list up and vanishes!
You know how it is.
Near as I can tell, this scenario leaves you with the following options:
1. Run and hide.
2. Beg your guitarist friend to help you sort out the chords that match your melody, and then regale the audience with a tune about toenails. Then spend the next ~19 years periodically writing really wacky songs in the hopes of entertaining the silly and wonderful friends you've made ever since stepping up to that mic and singing them a downright ridiculous song.
Mostly parodies with a few originals thrown in, this is an album that probably wouldn't have been made had it not been for all the times Kornflake's friends Steve, Squish, Dan Hart, and Chris Mezzolesta (of Power Salad) paired up with her to actualize her zany ideas for tunes. Heck, Kornflake's music would not have existed outside of that contest had it not been for a note from Grant Baciocco (of Throwing Toasters) insisting that "The world needs Toenails!" Some might even say that the Great Luke Ski willed this album into existence. (For her part, Kornflake wouldn't argue about this being exactly how it happened.)

"I Don't Know What You're Talking About!" is an album that probably should have been made a long time ago. But it wasn't. But it's here now!

Thanks for sticking around long enough to hear it.
